Detail by detail Guide for Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller


In this guide I am going to explain how to put in and setup Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller and DNS server which can be used as central server to keep person information, OU, establishing class procedures and so forth.
1) Go to Begin >> Run and variety 'dcpromo' and press que son las opciones binarias
Host will now start checking if Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) binaries are mounted or not; if maybe not, then it will mount it. After running 'dcpromo' you'll get pop-up like below which will check the machine
2) When the AD DS binaries are installed, you will get 'Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard' like below
It is possible to keep the checkbox uncontrolled and press Next
Press Next to carry on
Choose Deployment Configuration: This windows allows to add the server to an existing Forest Or even to Develop a new Domain forest.
Choose Create a new domain in a new forest and press Next.
It'll take a moment to test if the area is used or not.
6) Additional Domain Controller Option: On this screen you can pick DNS support here. Also as this machine is First domain controller in a forest it must have Global Catalog as a result of which it doesn't allow you to enable or disable this feature. I want to set this Domain Controller Server as a DNS Server as well, so I've held the check box beside DNS host chosen. Press Close to carry on.
7) Set Domain Function Level: We'd suggest you to see the description of every OS before selecting the option
8) Set Forect Function Level: We'd suggest you to read the description of every OS before selecting the choice1) Go to Begin >> Run and variety 'dcpromo' and press enter.
After running 'dcpromo' you'll get popup like below which will check the host
It is possible to keep the checkbox unchecked and press Next
Press Close to keep on
Choose Deployment Configuration: This windows will allow to add the host to an existing Forest Or to Create a new Domain forest.
